Fads of the past
What fads of the past do you remember? Why do you think, using Gladwell's theories, that they did not last?

I don't think tipping points or fads have anything to do with lasting....some fad could spread and go out of fashion just as quick...I think the book is really about the spread of fads - why or why not some fads spread (and moreover how they do)...I think that what sticks (i.e., becomes more than a fad by lasting) is perhaps another book.
