Malcolm Gladwell books

Well, now that you have read the Tipping Point, are you interested in reading more by Malcolm Gladwell? If so, his next book, "Blink: The Power of thinking without thinking", is available at the Main Library in both print form and audio (CD). "Blink" was also a controversial bestseller. So far, no new book from Gladwell, but if you want to read about his thoughts, visit his blog, http://gladwell.typepad.com.

Thanks for the blog link!

Was either book "controversial"? In what way? Just in the novelty of the idea(s)?

"Blink" is a commentary on how people make decisions. Often, they make the decision quickly, without reflection. Are those quick decisions the best decisions or not?

The book really left that question's answer ambiguous...the first half of "Blink" seemed to be about going with your gut and how that can be helpful...the second half showed how that can get you into trouble.

Just like real life, I suppose.
