Memory

The author has described how the miniaturists drew the same horse from their memory. Some of the miniaturists were blind, yet they drew the same horse. They believed that blindness is the perfect condition to create pure art. What do you think? Do you think that art requires any type of blindness? What about the act of drawing the same figure the same way time and time again. Do you think that is art? How does the miniaturists' view of art affect the telling of this story?
