Teacher Man by Frank McCourt is January's selection
Teacher Man, Frank McCourt's memoir about his years teaching in the New York City public schools, is the selection for January. This book, the third in the series of books selected for the Laid Back Book Club, is must reading for anyone who has been a high school student, or anyone who is thinking about a teaching career. Great Choice! I haven't read the book but am intending to....I know McCourt from "Angela's Ashes" which is one of my all-time favorite books...I would reccomend readers might want to start with that book, they won't be dissapointed...it's a real treat!
