Superdome
Did you see the sports news surrounding the New Orleans Saints' home opener on Monday Night Football? It is now about one year since the Superdome reopened. The Superdome is 31 years old and we know what happened to it during Katrina. According to an Associated Press report, the Superdome is an increasingly busy place. The Saints home games are played there as are Tulane's home games. The stadium is state-owned and Doug Thornton, vice president of the company that manages the stadium said "It's a better building now, a lot better than it was before the storm, which I think is one of the real blessings that has come out of Katrina...Out of this disaster came opportunity..." A spokeswoman for the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau said that the event at the Superdome "Sends the signal that people are here and living life." How do you feel about the Superdome? Do you think that if you had been there during the Hurricane that you would want to return for a Saints game?
